In a move to help corporate customers save time and money when deploying their Macs, iPads and iPhones, a new Apple, Inc. program is being launched that will enable those devices to be configured remotely, it was announced today.
Clayton-based Digital Partners Incorporated (dpi), an Apple Authorized Reseller that serves enterprise customers nationwide, announced that Apple’s new Device Enrollment Program (DEP) will now be available through dpi so it can better serve its corporate customers across the country.
Matina Koronis-Koester, founder and president of dpi, said the new program provides a huge benefit for her corporate customers, which include some of America’s best-known brands.
“This change enables corporate IT organizations to automate their Mobile Device Management (MDM) enrollment wirelessly as part of the setup process without anyone having to physically touch or prep the devices,” she said. “That means once we activate a device, its account settings, apps, access to IT services and software downloads can be configured wirelessly through this new program, saving enterprises a huge amount of time and money.”
